It all began in 1930. A married couple from Scotland made the move to America, landing in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, hoping to make a better life for themselves...and that they did. Equipped with just shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, and of course hard-work and sweat, Murrysville Golf Club was founded and created. The idea behind the building of the course was simple; an enjoyable course to play managed by caring people.

Fast forwarding to the 21st century, the tradition continues but the course has grown in many ways while trying to keep up with the scientific technology the golf industry has thought up. MGC, over the years, has become known for its fast, true greens...sometimes even being compared to the greens many country clubs around the nation maintain.
